“This ministry began when I noticed a sign next to a leper colony, near Tadepalligudem, asking for help. I went to the people there to meet them and they explained that they have leprosy and have been begging for food but not getting enough. From that moment on I decided to help however I could. My brothers and sometimes my father come with me there each week to bring whatever cloth and food we can get to help, and we pray with them and preach the Lord’s word to them.
The first time I visited them made me cry because when I asked them to sing a song, they sang: ‘Jesus is within us, we have no problems, we are always happy’. When they said these things, I gave thanks to Jesus for His dwelling in their hearts. I am even more happy when I visit them now because they never think that they are sick, they are always happy.” – Abner
The blind receive their sight and the lame walk, lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, and the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them. – Matthew 11:5
