Abner is a passionate young man in his early twenties, called by God to bring Christ’s love to Andhra Pradesh, India. Abner’s grandparents were idol worshipers, but after Jesus healed Abner’s father Prasad from a kidney problem, a new future was born, of which Abner is among the first fruits. Since that day, Abner and his father have been doing the Lord’s work, living for Him.

Abner’s Twenty
Only in his early twenties, and with few personal resources, Abner works at fish packing and painting to try to earn enough to support twenty-three orphans that he saved from the streets. By necessity, Abner stepped into the role of pastor in his community, where Christians are persecuted, and the need remains great. After a large flood, the tiny structure where Abner, his father, and the orphans slept, and where the church services were held, became unsafe to live in. Furthermore, new initiatives in India to pay Christians to convert to Hindi, or to suffer serious consequences if they refuse, pushed Abner to a different even smaller location. Despite the hardships, Abner’s love for the people continues to burn strong, as he reaches out to the lowest people in society to reveal Jesus’ love. These are the orphans, the lepers, the poor, and the street children.
But God chose what is low and despised in the world, to reduce to nothing things that are, so that no one might boast. – 1 Cor 1:28
